Teachers understand local and global societal issues and responsibilities in an evolving digital culture and exhibit legal and ethical behavior in their professional practices. Teachers:
- advocate, model, and teach safe, legal, and ethical use of digital information and technology, including respect for copyright, intellectual property, and the appropriate documentation of sources.
In the Internet Usage Project I have created, I have posted rules to stay safe on the Internet. The most important of these rules is to use common sense. The Generals Rules sections give students guidelines in how to ethically use the Internet and the Plagiarism section offers how to use and cite information found on the Internet. The section of this site that I am most proud of is the Links page. The links provided show math in ways not often seen in the classroom. Seeing math in the real world or interesting things about math inspires interest students to want to learn about math. While doing this project I learned how to create a web-page, manage it and how to convey my ideas online. In the future I will continue to improve my website and update it. The website can be used to connect parents to the classroom and allow students to find assignments and help online.
