Reflection 4

3.      Model Digital-Age Work and Learning
Teachers exhibit knowledge, skills, and work processes representative of an innovative professional in a global and digital society. Teachers:
d.       Model and facilitate effective use of current and emerging digital tools to locate, analyze, evaluate, and use information resources to support research and learning.

For my MA 310  class we were instructed to make a YouTube video explaining how to make a kaleidoscope from a Pringle's Can. To make this video I had to use Geometer's Sketchpad, Camtasia,  and YouTube. This video meets standard 3d because it shows I have used current digital tools to teach math concepts and allow people around the world to use my lesson. This activity has taught me how to work with YouTube to post information and how to teach using Geometer's Sketchpad, which will be important if I ever teach geometry. In the future I would improve upon this skill by doing more work in Geometer's Sketchpad to explore its other features to see what other math concepts can be taught.
